Kari Somers

Kari Somers is a Central Illinois native, hailing from Monticello, Illinois. She is a graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and Syracuse University College of Law. Kari began her legal career in the Chicago area, working in immigration and family law. From there, she went on to work as a public defender in Champaign County.

She is a member of the Champaign County Bar Association and the Illinois State Bar Association. She serves on the Illinois State Bar Association’s Standing Committee on Corrections as well as the Young Lawyers Division. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, baking, reading, and spending time with her family.
