Katty Sievers

Katty is a Central Illinois native whose career has spanned teaching, judicial service, and criminal defense. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Bradley University before beginning her professional career as a language arts educator in Nevada. While teaching, she simultaneously completed a master’s degree in education from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and went on to earn her Juris Doctor from the William S. Boyd School of Law.

After law school, Katty served as a Magistrate for the Commonwealth of Virginia, gaining experience on the bench. In 2017, she returned to Central Illinois with her husband and two children. She first worked as in-house counsel, then spent two and a half years at the Champaign County Public Defender’s Office, where she focused on defending serious felony cases.

Katty joined Bruno Law Offices in 2025. She is dedicated to criminal defense and takes pride in giving every client the attention and advocacy they deserve.

Outside of work, Katty enjoys hiking in National Parks, playing board games with her family, and baking sourdough bread.
